SUMMER CAMP FOR CHILDREN
How to make cheese? How to make cookies? What can I make from wood? What are deer like? Who makes sounds at night?
Find it all out during one of our summer camps at Jelenov breg pod Matajurjem Tourist Farm.
We will sleep out in the mountain pastures, prepare our own food, discover nature, and have lots of fun.
Nature, animals and creative workshops are the main ingredients of our children camps.
What is on offer?
Daily activities:
- Little farmers’ activities (feeding animals and taking care of them)
- Cooking
- Soap-making and tea-preparation workshops
- Creative workshops
Evening activities:
- singing nights
- night adventures
- listening to the forest sounds
- an overnight stay at a mountain pasture
Sports activities:
- swimming in the Nadiža river
- cycling
- hiking

PROGRAM IS LIMITED TO 10 CHILDREN AGED 8 TO 14 YEARS
1st group: June 29 - July 5, 2014
2nd group: July 6 - July 12, 2014
Participant will meet at 5 pm on the first day of the camp for our orientation tour. Children will then settle in, enjoy their dinner and join us for a social evening event. The camp ends on Sunday at 11 am.
All-inclusive price for a 7-day camp is 200 EUR. It includes: accommodation, 24-hour supervision, trekking, one overnight stay at a mountain pasture, bike rental, meals and a tourist tax. Children should bring their own sleeping bags.
Our summer camp staff:
Tina Rupnik, professor of chemistry and biology, and a swimming teacher. She also worked at a primary school in Kobarid in 2012/2013.
and
Aljoša Medveš, Bsc in forestry and MSc in ecology and biodiversity.
He gained a wealth of experience in summer camp organisation and management during his stay in the US in 2009. He works in cooperation with the Forestry Institute of the Republic of Slovenia.
